Marcus Rashford continued his red-hot form as he scored a brace to help his side beat Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

Rashford, 25, has now scored 16 times since the World Cup, the most in the world, and has deservingly earned the appreciation he has been getting.

Riding on his brace and a solo goal from Jadon Sancho, Erik ten Hag‘s men comfortably beat the Foxes as they shorten the gap between their sky-blue neighbours.

Rising from the youth setup at United, Rashford has been the star of the team and the player to watch out for, this season.

In the ongoing season, the forward has found the back of the net 24 times, his best-ever output so far in his career. This amazing form comes at the back of a disastrous 2021/22 season when Rashford scored just five goals.

Following his splendid performance against the former Premier League winner, talkSPORT’s English pundit, Darren Ambrose has hailed the Brit’s performance.

“He’s the best player in the Premier League as we speak, probably by a distance,” Ambrose stated. “On current form he’s unstoppable, he’s unplayable.

“Whatever superlative you want to use about Marcus Rashford, he’s sensational at the minute. That goal record since the World Cup is just frightening.”

The former Crystal Palace midfielder went a notch higher and claimed Rashford to be at par with World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe. Ambrose also touched upon Erik ten Hag’s influence in rejuvenating the 25-year-old.

“In terms of best player in the world, he’s in the conversation, he’s in with a shout,” he continued. “Mbappe is of course the best player in the world, he’s phenomenal, but just to be in the conversation after the year he had last year, to come back as strongly as he did… Erik ten Hag deserves a lot of praise for that as well.

“Some of the players just need the right coach, they [Man United] seem to have the right coach.”
