Manchester United player ratings vs Leicester City in thumping 3-0 win
Manchester United were comfortable victors against Leicester City at Old Trafford on Sunday as goals from Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho earned Erik ten Hag’s side a 3-0 win.
After an early onslaught of pressure from the visitors, United would’ve been thanking David de Gea for proceedings remaining level.
Rashford gave The Reds the lead later in the half before he added to his impressive goalscoring tally again in the second half. Sancho got his second goal since returning to the squad after coming off the bench.

David de Gea – 9/10
Incredible save in the opening exchanges. Then an even better one midway through the first half. Nothing to do in the second half but kept United in the game during the most difficult period.
Diogo Dalot – 7/10
Still getting to grips since his return from injury. Improved second half. Awful miss from yards out in the first half. Use your left foot!
Victor Lindelof – 7.5/10
Came into the side and handled himself very well. Some important challenges and battles won throughout.
Lisandro Martinez – 8/10
Another solid performance from the Argentine. Impressive in defensive moments and progression. Had a headed effort strike the crossbar.
Luke Shaw – 8.5/10
So good yet again from the English full-back. Great offensive contributions and also in defence. Deserved an assist after an excellent cross to his fellow defender Martinez.
Fred – 8/10
A slow start to the game but really came into action after Leicester’s early ambitious period. Brilliant pass in behind for Rashford’s second to register another assist.
Marcel Sabitzer – 8/10
He got through a lot of work and was playing some really nice passes in the attack. Still waiting to see him alongside Casmeiro, which could work very nicely.
Bruno Fernandes – 8.5/10
Two assists for the Portuguese Magnifico, who played an important part in the win. Great energy and link-up.
Wout Weghorst – 6/10
Got through some valuable work in the number ten role in the first half. Missed some opportunities to play forward and was slow in the attack at times. So close to grabbing an assist with a wonderful pass to Sancho but then could not repay the English winger in the last minutes. Just can’t seem to score.
Alejandro Garnacho – 6/10
Unable to really get into the game. Some good runs but often ignored. Subbed at half-time.
Marcus Rashford – 10/10
Another game, two goals for United’s star man. Didn’t get a sniff until the first chance came and he made no mistake in front of goal. Second half he moved to the left and looked more dangerous. Incredible run and shot was denied by the goalkeeper shortly before he scored his second following a great ball through. Also key in Jadon Sancho’s goal.

Brilliant performance from the bench. Great link-up and a perfect goal. Could’ve got another goal and assist.
Anthony Elanga – 7/10
Lots of energy from the bench.
Scott McTominay – 7/10
Solid when he came on. Good to have him back.

Came on for his Premier League debut. Impressed.
