Forgotten Man United star could offer transfer solution after deadline day signing ruled out
One Manchester United star could offer a potential transfer solution after the club ruled out a particular deadline day signing.
The Reds are expected to be busy on transfer deadline day with Manuel Ugarte’s announcement being the priority at the moment.
Once the midfielder signs, Erik ten Hag’s side will also be looking to secure the signing of Sekou Kone and a few potential sales or loans.
Although, it has been well-reported that United would no longer be in the market for a left-back before the transfer deadline.
Despite Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, the two senior players in that position, currently being injured, United believe they have enough cover in the position.
Harry Amass is on the verge of the first-team while Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazroaui can both play on the left side of the defence as well.
Dalot has started the opening two games of the new Premier League season in the position, while Mazraoui started on the opposite side.
Shaw is also expected to be back fit after the international break, but Malacia could offer the solution for Erik ten Hag.
Malacia has been absent for over a year with one injury but is now finally recovering the right way and was spotted on the grass at Carrington this week doing some individual ball work.
Many have forgotten about what the Dutch defender can bring to the team due to his lengthy absence from the pitch.
But if he can find his fitness in the coming weeks and months, there will finally be another solid and natural option on that side of the defence.
