Five Manchester United stars are reportedly set to leave this summer as the club hope to raise over £200 million in sales for Rúben Amorim.
In the wake of losing the Europa League final, Manchester United are planning to entirely revamp Rúben Amorim’s squad in an effort to improve the quality of those on the pitch at Old Trafford.
There are a number who are certain to leave, with Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelöf, and Jonny Evans all to depart once their contracts expire at the end of June.
Beyond this, the club are going to need to sell multiple players in order to make sure they can add as much as possible to Amorim’s budget in the summer, which reportedly sits at around £100 million.
The futures of those such as Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro, and Rasmus Højlund are all in question.
United hoping to raise £100 million from outcast trio
In January, United sent Marcus Rashford and Antony on loan, with both players ostracised from Amorim’s squad. The former went to Aston Villa, while the latter departed for Real Betis.
After poor starts to the season at Old Trafford, both Rashford and Antony improved once they departed in January, with United having now set their respective price tags at £40 million and £32.5 million this summer, as per the Manchester Evening News.
Rashford’s fee will go down as pure profit as he is an Academy graduate, while United need a fee of around £32.5 million in order to record his sale as a profit.
Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho is reportedly set to return to Old Trafford this summer following his loan at Chelsea, who will pay a £5 million penalty to circumvent the obligation to pay £25 million to secure him permanently.
United will then look to sell him for at least £20 million, meaning the club will earn around £97.5 million this summer.
Two Europa League finalists also set to be sold
Alongside the above three, the Manchester Evening News report also states that Højlund will be transfer-listed this month after the club’s top brass lost faith in the 22-year-old after he started the final on Wednesday evening.

Previous reports have stated United will look for around £55 million for the Danish striker, with Juventus, Napoli, and Inter Milan all contacting United surrounding his availability.
Meanwhile, following a 20-minute cameo in the Europa League final loss, talkSPORT have now reported that Garnacho “looks certain” to leave Old Trafford this summer, with the player himself admitting after the game that his options are open.
Multiple times, it has been claimed that United will be looking for around £60 million for the winger this summer. If all five players leave Old Trafford, that would total around £212 million in sales.
