The first images of Manchester United players meeting Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sir Dave Brailsford at the Carrington training ground have been published in the media.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has purchased a 25 per cent stake in Manchester United, with the British billionaire becoming the largest single shareholder at Old Trafford.

Alongside Ratcliffe, he has brought in a number of new staff members to join the footballing board, who are set to take control of all sporting matters surrounding Erik ten Hag.

One of these includes Sir Dave Brailsford, former head of British Cycling, who is highly involved in INEOS’ sporting endeavours, with Manchester United becoming the latest and greatest of those.

Ratcliffe and Brailsford have visited Carrington and Old Trafford in the last few days, meeting the men’s and women’s players and coaching staff for the first time.

A gallery of the photos has been released, which can be viewed below.

In the pictures above, Ratcliffe and Brailsford can be seen meeting with Aoife Mannion, Kathy the receptionist, watching the players train, Katie Zelem and Millie Turner, Rasmus Højlund, and most importantly, Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag spoke to the media about his meeting with INEOS ahead of United’s FA Cup fixture against Wigan Athletic, where he was asked how positive the meeting was.

“Very positive, I have to say,” he replied. “We had a long meeting, for many hours, we sat together. We were, on many issues, on the same page, so very positive.

“I think also from both sides, I can say that it was a very constructive meeting, and we’re looking forward to working with each other.”

Manchester United will be facing Wigan on Monday, 8 January in the FA Cup third round.
