Fabrizio Romano reveals Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s thoughts on Erik ten Hag following FA Cup win
Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s feelings about Erik ten Hag have not changed following Manchester United’s FA Cup semi-final win over Coventry City.
After running the London Marathon in the morning, Sir Jim Ratcliffe watched his new Manchester United team completely collapse in the second half against Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final.
After finding themselves 3-0 up with 20 minutes to go, Erik ten Hag’s side lost all control of the game, conceding three goals to send the tie into extra time. Thankfully, Coventry had a last-minute goal ruled out for offside, and Rasmus Højlund‘s penalty in the shootout ensured United’s safe passage to the final, but it was not a positive performance.

After the game, there were many calls for Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS group to sack the manager after what was deemed a final straw display.
However, prominent journalist Fabrizio Romano has explained that the British billionaire’s opinion regarding Ten Hag’s future at the club has not changed.
There’s no change
Ratcliffe’s feelings surrounding Erik ten Hag’s future “remains the same”, Romano explained on The United Stand YouTube channel.
The Italian then explains that although recent results have not helped Ten Hag in the long run, as of today, no discussions have taken place with any other managers.
On this topic, Romano explained that although United might be discussing managers internally, he reiterated that there are no concrete talks with any managers. United will only make a decision on the Dutch manager closer to the end of the season.
United are set to conclude their campaign when they take on Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday, 25 May.
