Fabrizio Romano confirms Manchester United-linked ‘potential bargain’ has a low release clause

As per transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, one Manchester United-linked starlet is confirmed to have an astoundingly low release clause.

With the summer transfer window around the corner, Manchester United will be looking for ways to improve their team, in order to get back to where they belong at the top end of the Premier League table.

With this being said, to avoid breaking any Financial Fair Play regulations, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team will be looking for unique market opportunities to help bolster The Red Devils’ squad.

With the uncertainties surrounding Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Antony, Ratcliffe will be wanting to strengthen United’s attacking department, more specifically their wingers.

Flair and creativity has been hard to come by for Ruben Amorim’s side so far during his tenure, but this technically gifted Frenchman would be nailed on to change that.

French flair to be heading to Manchester?

Having been widely reported for a number of years, it’s remained a surprise as to why nobody has taken the punt on Olympique Lyonnaise maverick Rayan Cherki.

With a release clause confirmed to be in the region of £25 million, Fabrizio Romano has acknowledged Cherki as a ‘potential bargain’ with ‘excellent talent’.

However, this release clause is meant to more difficult than it looks to the common eye. Romano insists that there are ‘certain conditions to be met’ for the highly regarded 21-year-old.

Amorim’s side are one of many top clubs monitoring this situation, as Lyon’s financial troubles could see them forced to allow top talents to leave with their provisional relegation to Ligue 2 looming large.

Cherki has brought a lot of excitement to a very fearful Lyon, with eight goals and 17 assists in his 35 matches so far this season.

Will Cherki astound Amorim?

Luckily for the Manchester United manager, they will get to see Cherki play in the flesh next Thursday in the Europa League Quarter Finals, as Lyon host The Red Devils in the first leg.

There will be a lot of eyes on the starlet to see what he can produce on the big stage, and many affiliated with United will be eager to see whether they think Cherki’s creativity could translate to Amorim’s side.

In an Amorim system, Cherki would slot into one of the attacking midfield/winger positions. This is a specific area where United are especially short in numbers, and would be desperate to add quality to.

Although it could be a trickier deal than first thought, it could be a worthwhile punt for the Reds, who are short of creative outlets aside from Bruno Fernandes and Amad.

If anyone is capable of taking this responsibility on, it’s surely one of Europe’s most creative up-comers.
