Exclusive: Manchester United set to act on interest for “powerful” Jobe Bellingham in 2025
Manchester United are interested in signing Jude Bellingham’s younger brother Jobe in the next year after the teenager impressed the club’s recruitment staff.
Manchester United’s performances under Ruben Amorim have been inconsistent so far, with just four wins in his first 10 matches, underlining the challenges he faces at Old Trafford.
While some players have looked good in Amorim’s system, others have struggled to adapt. It is evident that the 39-year-old will require further reinforcements in upcoming transfer windows.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the new INEOS regime are keen to continue buying up and coming young stars after securing the likes of Chido Obi Martin, Leny Yoro and Sekou Kone this year.
United’s plan for Jobe Bellingham in 2025
UtdDistrict understands that there is a huge chance that United materialises their interest in Jobe Bellingham and look to sign the midfielder in 2025.
United have been keeping tabs on the Championship starlet at Sunderland and he has impressed the club’s recruitment staff.
Jobe, younger brother of Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham, has been excelling at the Stadium of Light this season. It would be unlikely that a mid-season move is struck, especially due to United’s well-reported preference to sign a left wingback in January.
The all-action midfielder has made 20 appearances so far this term, with four goals and three assists to his name, including back-to-back match winners against Norwich City and Swansea City before Christmas.
It is well known that United missed out on a deal for his older brother before moving to Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2020.
Recent reports have claimed that Jobe Bellingham would cost around £20 million, with Borussia Dortmund also ironically linked with the 19-year-old who still has more than three years remaining on his deal at Sunderland.
Jobe Bellingham is ‘so powerful’, says Sunderland boss
Sunderland boss Régis Le Bris waxed lyrical about Jobe after his winning goal against Norwich last week, claiming that the teenager is ‘powerful’ and is learning ‘so very quickly’ in the Championship while playing multiple different roles.
“Jobe is so powerful. He wants to affect the game, he had good quality today,” the French manager said after the game.
“It’s not a big surprise for us but you have to do it on the pitch. He did very well today to score the second goal.

“I don’t have to say to Jobe, ‘you can score’, it’s just now a question of his position. We talk now a lot about positions on the pitch because if he can manage different situations, he can be involved in the build-up, in the high pressure and low pressure.
“But if you want to affect the score properly, the opposition has to be a little bit higher on the pitch. We spoke a lot about this position for our eights, especially for Jobe because out of possession he plays as a six. So it’s not easy to find the right balance with the offensive part of the game.
“He played the first game of the season higher on the pitch like with two strikers, then as a midfielder. It was easier to find the right position and adjustment. I think he’s doing well. He learns so very quickly.”
