Exclusive: Amad picked as one of Man Utd’s top-three players this season as “most consistent player” named

A former Manchester United star has sat down with UtdDistrict to name his three standout performers for the Red Devils in the early stages of this season.

Manchester United’s start to the season has turned around recently, with the Reds currently unbeaten in their last five Premier League games.

Ruben Amorim’s summer signings have played a huge part in the club’s turnaround, especially Bryan Mbeumo, who has notched four goals in his last four games.

Now that the Reds are sitting seventh in the table, there is far more optimism surrounding what Amorim’s side can achieve over the course of the campaign.

In a recent interview with UtdDistrict, former United defender Paul Parker has given his three standout performers in the early stages of this season.

Parker names his three

Speaking exclusively to UtdDistrict about who his standout performers were for the Red Devils, Parker said, “[Matthijs] De Ligt, Mbeumo and [Amad] Diallo. Those three.

“De Ligt is Manchester United’s most consistent defender. He senses danger, he leads, and he’s an organiser. He leads by example with the way he plays as well, and he does that.

“He doesn’t have to come on a sub and score a goal or anything like that, or run to the fans and become a cult hero. He does his job, and that’s what matters.

“Amad causes confusion. People question his end product, but they might have relented a bit from the weekend. But he causes problems, and without him, United haven’t really got anybody outside of [Matheus] Cunha and Mbuemo who’s going to cause regular problems in that way.”

Parker’s most consistent star

The ex-United defender then stated that, “People will say Bruno [Fernandes] comes into it, but he’s not consistent in what he does.

“Mbuemo has been the most consistent player. He’s always constantly attacking, he runs at people, he looks to run beyond people, he brings people into the game, and he defends as well without being asked to.”

This isn’t the first time that the importance of Mbeumo has been highlighted, as the Cameroonian has taken to life in Manchester like a fish to water.

With a nice run of fixtures now on the horizon, United will be hoping that they can continue their excellent run of form as we head towards the Christmas period.
