Every Manchester United player in training vs Arsenal as big Ruben Amorim change confirmed
Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United have been training hard at Carrington ahead of their FA Cup third-round clash against Arsenal.
Manchester United shift their attention to the FA Cup this week as they aim to defend the trophy following their 13th victory in the competition last season.
Ruben Amorim’s side faces a challenging third-round fixture against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
The Reds suffered a 2-0 defeat to Arsenal last month in the Premier League, with both goals coming from set-pieces.
After a determined display against Liverpool over the weekend, Amorim will be eager to ensure his team maintains those high standards and avoids a repeat of their previous shortcomings.
Every United player in training for Arsenal
United uploaded images of their preparations for the Arsenal clash on social media, with the players training in cold conditions at Carrington.
Amorim was working with his full squad, with only a handful of injured players unavailable for the group session on Wednesday morning.
Marcus Rashford was absent due to an illness that also kept him out of the Liverpool clash, while Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelöf, Jonny Evans and Mason Mount were also away from the squad.
Meanwhile, some United youngsters were drafted into the session under Amorim, with Under-21 stars Tyler Fredricson, Jack Moorhouse and Godwill Kukonki taking part.
Exciting goalkeeper Elyh Harrison, who has recently been recalled from his loan spell at Chester FC, also was involved.
The entire squad list for the session can be read below.
Onana, Bayindir, Heaton, Harrison, Mazraoui, Kukonki, Maguire, Yoro, Malacia, Martínez, Fredricson, Dalot, De Ligt, Eriksen, B.Fernandes, Collyer, Ugarte, Casemiro, Mainoo, Moorhouse, Højlund, Garnacho, Zirkzee, Antony, Garnacho.
Amorim’s United training change confirmed
Amorim was well-known for his youth development at Sporting, which excited many United fans when it was confirmed he would be moving to Old Trafford.
However, despite many youngsters being involved in his early sessions during the international break, when first-team players returned there were limited chances for the Academy talent.
Kukonki has been the only one who has been involved regularly, and that is mostly down to injuries.
Various reports explained that Amorim has been fully focused on his first-team squad and ensuring that they adapt to his system. He has also been consumed by matches, with minimal training time allowed in between games.

Now that he has settled in and there is more time on the training pitch, it is great to see some of the talented youth get chances to impress the head coach at Carrington.
It remains to be seen whether any of them will get a chance to be with the squad on Sunday for the FA Cup clash, but Amorim is clearly starting to utilise them more behind the scenes.
