Erik ten Hag’s agency working to offload unwanted Man United star, Serie A move looks likely
The agency company that Erik ten Hag is contracted to are trying to facilitate a transfer for one underwhelming Manchester United player.
Sofyan Amrabat, 27, joined United on loan from the Serie A side Fiorentina to offer Erik ten Hag more depth in the midfield.
However, the Moroccan International has fallen out of favour, playing just 123 minutes in his last six appearances for the club.
The midfielder was not part of the squad that faced Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday and is set to leave Old Trafford at the end of his loan.
The club have reportedly decided against activating the option to make his move permanent for the fee of just over £20 million.
As is well known, the agency SEG, which represents the player and Ten Hag, is said to be looking for clubs interested in signing the 27-year-old, as reported by Tuttosport.
Amrabat’s contract at Fiorentina is set to expire in 2025, so it is said that La Viola are eager to cash in, with Juventus being a potential suitor.
It is also reported that a swap deal between the two clubs could take place as Arthur Melo, the former Liverpool loanee, is currently on loan at Fiorentina from the Turin-based team so both sides could get rid of unwanted assets that are valued by the other.
United’s No. 4 dreams of a return to the Italian league and it is said that Juventus technical director Cristiano Giuntoli is a big fan of the player having tried to sign him for Napoli previously.
Amrabat’s future is away from Manchester, and his time at the club will not be remembered by many, except maybe for his expensive loan fee.
