Erik ten Hag provides three Man United injury updates after Liverpool draw, one positive & two negative

Erik ten Hag has provided three new injury updates following Manchester United’s 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
The Premier League clash saw United go 1-0 down in the first half before scoring twice to enter the final stages of the game in the lead.
However, a silly challenge from Aaron Wan-Bissaka inside the box gifted Liverpool the chance to equalise from the penalty spot and Mohammad Salah made no mistake.
Willy Kambwala enjoyed a successful game at centre-back alongside Harry Maguire. The 19-year-old dealt with Darwin Nunez expertly all game long.
It was the defender’s first start since his debut against West Ham in December. He was the only available option with Raphaël Varane, Jonny Evans, Victor Lindelöf and Lisandro Martínez all out with injury.
Both Martínez and Lindelöf will not return until towards the end of the month, and Ten Hag has also produced new updates on Varane and Evans, who were both forced off during the 4-3 defeat against Chelsea on Thursday.
Asked about the defensive pairing after the Liverpool draw, Ten Hag confirmed that they will not be returning to action imminently, “I don’t think they’ll be back anytime soon.” he said.
This could mean more game-time for Kambwala, who will be confident after his performance on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford was the latest to come off injured in a game. He was replaced by Antony mid-way through the second half against Liverpool.
However, the Englishman’s issue does not seem to be serious. “I’m not sure, but I don’t think it will be long,” added Ten Hag.
