Erik ten Hag reveals additional Man United injury concern ahead of Nottingham Forest clash
Erik ten Hag has been dealt another injury blow ahead of Manchester United’s clash against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup fifth-round.
The Reds are aiming for victory this evening in their last hopes for silverware this season.
Fortunately, Ten Hag has Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes and Raphaël Varane fit and in the lineup after there were concerns over the three players before the game.
However, Harry Maguire has pulled out of the squad with an injury to continue United’s trend of setbacks this term.
Ten Hag has also confirmed ahead of kick-off that Jonny Evans is not fully fit despite being named on the bench.
“Jonny Evans is not 100% either, like Saturday, but we have to deal with it and be a little smart to keep them available because we are having difficulties, especially in defence,” the manager stated.
The likes of Lisandro Martínez, Luke Shaw and Mason Mount are among the players to be unavailable through injury right now.
Speaking on Fernandes and Varane being in the team, Ten Hag added: “They fought to be in the team, which is good.
“They are highly motivated to give the best performances, help the team and contribute.
“They are two winners and they want to win. This is a big occasion for this season to win this trophy.”
