Erik ten Hag and Manchester United have rejected offers for Victor Lindelof and Faundo Pellistri, whilst the short-term future of Anthony Elanga will be decided in the next 48 hours.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, as the United manager looks to keep his squad as strong as possible for the second half of the season.

The Italian journalist revealed that Spanish club Valencia made a proposal for Pellistri, but Ten Hag said no to the deal. The winger has made his first two appearances for the club this month and will be hoping for increased game-time as the season enters the busiest stage.

Romano also mentioned that Inter Milan approached United for Lindelof in the last few days after Atletico Madrid asked about the Swedish defender weeks ago. United decided they will not accept any deal for the player.

The 28-year-old is one of the four centre-back options for Ten Hag, with Axel Tuanzebe still finding his fitness after injury. He will be important for the side, especially in case any injuries in the backline happen.

However, one player’s future for the remainder of the season has not been decided. Anthony Elanga has attracted loan interest from 10 different clubs this month. PSV Eindhoven and Borussia Dortmund are two of those clubs, with the Dutch side pushing for the deal, according to Romano.

It was added that no green light for a deal has been given from the club, with a decision to be made in the final days of the window.

Elanga has started just seven times for Ten Hag but has recently been used upfront in cameos. The manager could see the Swedish forward as an alternative option up front, with ongoing concerns about Anthony Martial’s fitness levels.
