Erik ten Hag provides update on Rasmus Højlund injury after Luton Town win
Erik ten Hag has spoken on the injury sustained by Rasmus Højlund as Manchester United defeated Luton Town 1-0 in the Premier League.
Rasmus Højlund played 75 minutes but had to be substituted due to an apparent injury problem as Victor Lindelöf smashed home Manchester United‘s only goal in a 1-0 victory over Luton Town.
Højlund, who is yet to score a Premier League goal but has five in the Champions League, had multiple chances to score and played well at Old Trafford, but he’s yet to get his Premier League goal catalogue underway.
Speaking about Højlund and his injury after the fixture, Ten Hag admitted that he is not sure the extend of the injury.
“In this moment I can’t say anything about it, I don’t know. We did an assessment we have to wait for 24 hours what the conclusion is. Give them the 24 hours to see what’s the problem, if there’s a problem.”
He continued: “Rasmus Hojlund has scored five times in the Champions League. He has confidence in himself and the goals will come.”
United next travel to face Everton in two week’s time after the international break.
