Erik ten Hag has provided injury updates on four Manchester United players ahead of their Champions League clash against FC Copenhagen.

Manchester United‘s season has been plagued with the words “injury crisis”, with Erik ten Hag having up to 16 players unavailable to play at points this season.

It has had a detrimental impact on the club, stopping the side from being able to find any sort of form or rhythm, and as a result, the team sit 8th in the Premier League table and third in their Champions League group.

Against Fulham on the weekend, Marcus Rashford was the latest player to be sat on the sidelines after he took a knock in training ahead of the game, and there were fears that he may be unavailable to play on Wednesday evening, too.

Ten Hag, however, explained on Tuesday evening that Rashford will be available, saying: “He is back. 100 per cent [ready to play].”

A similar story was feared for Harry Maguire who sustained a minor head injury against FUlhma despite playing the full game, but in the words of Ten Hag: “We did the protocols during and after the game, and he’s ready to play [against Copenhagen].”

The latest injury news is not all roses, though. Lisandro Martínez was confirmed as a long-term absentee a number of weeks ago, and Ten Hag has now explained that he does not think the Argentinian defender will make another appearance for United until after Christmas.

The same goes for Casemiro, who the club confirmed sustained a hamstring injury last week and will be out for “a number of weeks”, which Ten Hag said he thinks will be a similar timeline to Martínez.

Beyond this, there are no fresh injury concerns, with Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, and Amad all still unavailable to play. Kobbie Mainoo recently returned to first-team training and may make his maiden appearance of the season on Wednesday evening.
