Manchester United won 1-0 against Fulham at Craven Cottage after Bruno Fernandes scored a late winner in the Premier League clash.

The Reds were denied a brilliant goal from Scott McTominay in the first-half after a set piece where Harry Maguire, who did not get close to the ball but made an attempt to play it from an offside position, was ruled offside by VAR.

United were not impressive but there’s been slight improvements from performances of late. The line-up from Erik ten Hag was not inspiring and that was essentially how it translated to the pitch.

Yet, they did work hard and that paid off in the end when Fernandes scored a brilliant goal to win the game.

The player ratings can be read below:

Andre Onana – 7.5/10

Not much to do in the first half although more busy in the second and made several important saves.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 7.5/10

Solid in his first start back.

Harry Maguire – 7.5/10

A solid display throughout despite the worries about an injury.

Jonny Evans – 5/10

Offering what he can. Which is quite not good enough.

Diogo Dalot – 6/10

An absolutely crucial block to stop a good chance in the first half. OK otherwise.

Scott McTominay – 7/10

Impressive mostly. Good run for his goal that was ruled out by VAR and some good moments in duels.

Christian Eriksen – 3/10

Sloppy moments in possession and poor out of it until he was replaced.

Bruno Fernandes – 7/10

He wasn’t amazing but a beautiful bit of quality at the end sealed it for United. Big moment.

Antony – 1/10

One of his worst – maybe the worst – displays in a United shirt, and there have been many poor ones. Awful.

Rasmus Hojlund – 4/10

Tough afternoon against a strong centre-back pairing.

Alejandro Garnacho – 7/10

A good performance overall. Making the right decisions and dangerous when coming inside. Assist in the first half robbed by VAR.

Subs

Facundo Pellistri – 8/10

Brilliant impact from the bench. His hassling created that winner.

Mason Mount – 7.5/10

Good display in the few minutes he got.

Anthony Martial – 7/10

Solid. Close to scoring a great goal.

Raphael Varane – N/A
