Erik ten Hag has refuted the latest round of dressing room leaks that claim his Manchester United players are unhappy with his tactics.

This has come from the Manchester Evening News, who claim that Erik ten Hag has favourites in his Manchester United squad who are never singled out for criticism, while others are “routinely rounded on” by the Dutchman.

Further to this, the report claims that some players feel they are being put in a position likely to cause scrutiny by having to carry out some of Ten Hag’s tactics revolving around replacing Antony, who is out of the squad for an indefinite period.

Ten Hag, however, has responded to these claims, explaining that he does not know where is it coming from, but that he does not believe it as he knows his players.

“I don’t know if it’s a leak but I know opinion, I know my players,” He said in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon. “Everyone can make suggestions, we are okay with it.”

Further to this, Ten Hag was asked if he is surprised at the scale of the challenge of being Manchester United manager, to which he replied that he is not.

“No. It’s my second year. I know it’s not always going up, you will have your gaps and you get stronger from it as long as you stay together.

“That’s what we’re doing. The dressing room, all the staff, coaches, medical, everyone is united and at United, you fight.”
