Erik ten Hag provides two Man United line-up hints after Aston Villa win
Erik ten Hag has provided two line-up hints as Manchester United defeated Aston Villa 2-1 away from home in the Premier League.
It is a win that has seen Manchester United emerge victorious in their last three Premier League fixtures, climbing up to sixth in the league table and closer to the Champions League spots.
Goals from Rasmus Højlund and Scott McTominay ensured all three points for Erik ten Hag on the night, with the manager expressing particular praise for the latter.

Ten Hag went as far as to hint that McTominay could once again expand on his recent bench role, with United next preparing to face Luton Town away from home.
“He is [a super sub], but he can also start,” Ten Hag told BBC Match of the Day 2 on Sunday evening when asked about McTominay’s impact.
“You have to credit a player like Scott. He is an example for many players these days. There are not many players any more who are ready for every minute they can be on the pitch. Today we have seen another example. He is always ready to come on and make a difference.”
Speaking further, he also singled out “fantastic” Diogo Dalot, who assisted McTominay in the winning goal.
Dalot has become an undroppable part of Ten Hag’s XIs of late, playing at both right and left-back across the last few months.
“Everyone gets criticism, but he is a fantastic player who is developing very well. He can play in so many positions, and he is improving on crosses. He can score, and his defending is improving, so I am very pleased with him.”
Ten Hag’s praise hints that both players could feature in his XI to face Luton Town next Sunday, with the club visiting Kenilworth Road for the first time in the Premier League.
