Erik ten Hag: “Man United can beat anyone” ahead of Bayern Munich clash
Erik ten Hag has declared that he feels Manchester United can beat anyone as they welcome Bayern Munich to Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.
In what could be a season-defining game for Erik ten Hag at Manchester United, Bayern Munich travel to Old Trafford for the final game of the Champions League group stage.
United, who currently sit bottom of Group A, need to beat Bayern while hoping that the other fixture in the group, FC Copenhagen vs Galatasaray, ends in a draw – any other scenario will see United knocked out of the competition.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Monday afternoon, Ten Hag declared that he feels his team can beat anyone, and has leaned on three examples to prove it.
“It is our team. We have very good performances and highs. We are able to beat any opponent,” he said.
“The games against Chelsea, Everton, even against Galatasaray – this team can perform at really high levels.”
Further to this, he was asked how United can improve: “We have to work on that,” he said. “It is my responsibility to improve the team. I will give everything, the team will as well.
“I can show them the clips from Chelsea. If we have a good plan, we can beat any opponent.”
United have been inconsistent this season, that is no secret, and Scott McTominay, the current club’s top scorer, spoke alongside the manager on Monday, admitting as such.
“We know the inconsistencies, we are not naive to that,” he said. “We have spoken as a group. The schedule is relentless, we can’t blame it on the backload of fixtures.”
