“I get the feeling…” Erik ten Hag in trouble as Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s sack thoughts revealed
Erik ten Hag’s future at Manchester United is very much on the line as the Old Trafford leadership team convenes to discuss his performances this season.
Erik ten Hag’s role as Manchester United manager is under increasing pressure after just three Premier League wins in seven games this season.
Currently sitting 14th in the league, the team’s poor form continued with a disappointing home draw against FC Twente in the Europa League, leading to growing frustration among fans and calls for the Dutchman to be sacked.

The 3-0 loss to Tottenham and a 3-3 draw against Porto have been particularly damaging. Ten Hag’s sides, despite featuring eight of his own signings, have appeared disorganised and chaotic.
In the Porto match, United threw away a 2-0 lead, with Harry Maguire’s stoppage-time header rescuing a point after Bruno Fernandes was sent off late in the game.
Although a 0-0 draw against Aston Villa away from home has earned him some credit, Guardian journalist Jamie Jackson, who has followed Ten Hag’s time at United closely, has explained that he feels Ratcliffe wants the Dutch manager gone.
Speaking to UnitedView, Jackson said: “I get the feeling that he (Sir Jim Ratcliffe, club co-owner) wants him (Ten Hag) to go, and if so, are they really going to turn around and stick their necks out?
“This is (Omar) Berrada and (Dan) Ashworth primarily, and say, ‘you know what, Sir Jim, we respect your view, but we actually think X, Y, and Z’?
“Listen, maybe that’s why he’s employed them because they are strong enough to stand up at this moment, but I can see it both ways.
“The reason why I think they might not do that is because look at the team where it is, sadly, you know, it’s just over two years into his tenure, this is his third season, and, you know, down in 14th, worst start to the Premier League [season].”
This comes after reports from TheUnitedStand claimed that Ratcliffe wants a change of manager at United, although a final decision has not yet been reached.
Ratcliffe and his United leadership team, including club CEO Berrada and sporting director Ashworth, are meeting in London on Tuesday to discuss Ten Hag’s future.
They are expected to reach a final decision, although it is unknown when the results of this meeting will be communicated to the public.
