Erik ten Hag has challenged three of his Manchester United players to perform well after returning to the XI from periods of injury.
In their previous match, Erik ten Hag‘s team played to a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford. Despite goals from Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Højlund, Manchester United couldn’t secure all three points in the Premier League two weeks ago.
Having secured a 2-0 victory against Wigan Athletic in the third round of the competition, Ten Hag aims to ensure his team advances to the next round of the FA Cup.

Antony and Alejandro Garnacho have been chosen to start, as Marcus Rashford will not be part of the squad due to illness following his presence at a Belfast nightclub on Thursday evening, as confirmed by the club.
Referring to Luke Shaw, Casemiro, and Lisandro Martínez, Ten Hag was asked if he feels pleased that he can now start to pick his best players again after bouts of injury.
However, Ten Hag pointed out that although the players have been picked to face Newport, he has challenged them to perform and get the squad into the next round
“You need to be able to pick a team, and those players need match minutes, but also, in the meantime, they must realise they have to perform if they want to go into the next round,” Ten Hag told MUTV.
They have to give their best performance, and we need a win.”
Should United defeat Newport County, they will face either Bristol City or Nottingham Forest in round five of the competition.
