Diogo Dalot reveals the message he told Rasmus Højlund after Man United goal vs Brighton
Diogo Dalot has revealed the message he told Rasmus Højlund after the striker scored for Manchester United against Brighton on Sunday afternoon.
In their final game of the Premier League season, United secured a 2-0 victory over Brighton, thanks to goals from both Dalot and Højlund.
However, despite this win, Erik ten Hag’s team endured a largely unsuccessful season, finishing in a disappointing eighth place.

They have the chance to end the campaign on a high note with the FA Cup final against Manchester City next weekend, but they will need to be at their best to beat their rivals.
Højlund has now scored two goals in his last two games – in which he came off the bench in both of them. The striker has 16 goals in his debut campaign at Old Trafford but will be hoping to add to that at Wembley.
When asked about his Danish teammate while speaking to club media, Dalot explained the clear message he told Højlund after his goal against The Seagulls.
“Yeah, I mean I told him straight away after the goal, this is the type of mentality that we want,” the defender told club media.
“Whether you go on the bench, where you start the game, you need to be ready, fresh, and as soon as you come on, if it’s five minutes, one minute, 15, 20, you need to give everything.
“And he’s been showing, especially these last two games, when he comes on, he gives energy to the team.
“He’s fresh, he’s strong, winning duels. This is the Rasmus that we want to see all season, and I’m really happy with him.”
