Diogo Dalot latest as seven stars missing – Manchester United predicted squad vs Bournemouth (Premier League)

Manchester United are expected to continue to have a fair few players out of action as Rúben Amorim prepares his squad to face Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester United are back on the road this weekend as Rúben Amorim’s side travel to the south coast to take on an in-form Bournemouth.

The Reds will be looking to respond after December’s humbling 3-0 defeat to Andoni Iraola’s men at Old Trafford — a result Amorim will be keen to put right on Sunday afternoon.

United’s last league outing ended in disappointment, with a late Pablo Sarabia free-kick handing Wolverhampton Wanderers a 1-0 win and denying André Onana a clean sheet.

While domestic form remains a concern, the focus around Carrington is slowly shifting toward the looming Europa League semi-final against Athletic Bilbao in early May — a tie that carries huge weight. A win would not only bring Champions League qualification but also unlock an extra £85 million in funding.

United missing players vs Bournemouth

Amorim is still expected to have a number of players missing as his squad travels to Bournemouth, and there is a slight concern surrounding Diogo Dalot after he was not spotted in training on Wednesday morning.

However, considering the player’s exemplary injury record of late and his number of minutes, it is just as possible that he had been given extra time off after the player started 30 consecutive United fixtures before being named on the bench against Wolves last weekend.

Unless the club states otherwise, it would be safe to assume that Dalot will be fit for duty, although Amorim is expected to give a full update on his squad on Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Matthijs de Ligt was also not spotted in training, suggesting that he still won’t be able to play in time for the trip to Bournemouth. At the same time, Joshua Zirkzee, Lisandro Martínez, and Altay Bayındır remain out of action.

Amad is still not with the group but is expected to return early next month, with the same applied to Ayden Heaven. However, fans will be happy to see that Luke Shaw has remained in training after being rested against Wolves.

Meanwhile, Academy players Elyh Harrison, Dermott Mee, Jaydan Kamason, Tyler Fredricson, Dan Gore, Zachary Baumann, and Chido Obi all took part in training on Wednesday morning, with some expected to be in the squad against Bournemouth.
