David Moyes warns Everton about “so many talented players” ahead of Manchester United clash

David Moyes will be involved in a Manchester United vs Everton fixture for the first time since the 2013/14 campaign.
Manchester United will be determined to get back to winning ways following their defeat to Spurs, as they prepare to face Everton in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Ruben Amorim’s side has dropped to 15th in the table after their setback in North London, adding further pressure on the squad to turn things around.
United will be looking to recreate their dominant 4-0 triumph over Everton in November, where Joshua Zirkzee and Marcus Rashford both netted twice in what remains Amorim’s most emphatic victory so far.
However, since that meeting, former United boss David Moyes has taken the reins at Goodison Park, guiding Everton to a resurgence in form and lifting them to 14th place — one point ahead of United after 25 matches.
The Toffees are currently unbeaten in their last five Premier League fixtures – with four wins and one draw – and will be an extremely difficult test for Amorim’s struggling Reds.
Moyes warns Everton about talented United players
Moyes spent less than a season as the manager at Old Trafford during the 2013/14 campaign and was the first man to learn the difficulties of following Sir Alex Ferguson’s legacy.
Since then, the Scottish manager has bounced back and had an extremely positive spell at West Ham, where he won the Europa Conference League.
Now back at Everton, Moyes is making sure that his new side do not underestimate United despite their dismal form this season.
“I always think Manchester United is one of the biggest fixtures in the season wherever you are,” the 61-year-old said in his pre-match press conference.
“I think they’ve always got good players, I think they’ve got so many talented players who are so good at what they do.”
Speaking further on the opposition’s problems, Moyes added: “They’re probably having a bit of a difficult patch at the moment it’s very rarely you would see Manchester United in the league position they’re in.
“But we need to see if we can build on what we do here at Everton. I think we’ve had a really good start but I see it being a tough game and a 12:30 kick off is never an easy one.”
United players must show mentality at Goodison Park
Moyes is right. United have a lot of players who are talented, but that doesn’t get you through games with three points at the end of them.
Amorim keeps mentioning the nerves his players are experiencing at Old Trafford recently and they should not be expecting a friendly atmosphere at Goodison Park.

Everton supporters will be making the most of their team’s improved form, but more importantly, the final few games left at their historic stadium.
The crowd will be loud and hostile, with United players needing to deal with that. If they can do that, it is half of the battle. But not many fans will be convinced they can.
