Confirmed Real Betis squad to face Man United in second leg of Europa League clash
Real Betis have confirmed their 23-man squad to face Manchester United in the second leg of their round of 16 clash in the Europa League.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side are looking to claw back a three-goal deficit in Spain after United’s convincing 4-1 victory at Old Trafford last week.
They will be missing Italian international Luiz Felipe this time around, however, after the centre-back picked up a hamstring injury. He started during their loss to Erik ten Hag’s men in Manchester.
Felipe will be replaced by 18-year-old Felix Garreta, who has made just two appearances for the first-team at the Benito Villamarín Stadium.
That is the only change from the squad that travelled to England last week, with Juan Cruz and Nabil Fekir still out of action due to injury and Martin Montoya and Paul Akoujou being ineligible to play.
Since their loss to The Reds, Betis earned a valuable point away to Villarreal on the weekend, which keeps them in touching distance of the top four and above the Yellow Submarine.
Meanwhile, United slipped up against bottom-of-the-table Southampton after Casemiro’s first-half red card, drawing 0-0 with the South Coast opposition. The Brazilian midfielder will suffer a four-match suspension in domestic competition but is available to face Betis.
The full 23-man Real Betis squad for the upcoming encounter can be read below:
Goalkeepers: Bravo, Rui Silva, Dani Martin
Defenders: Sabaly, Victor Ruiz, Pezzella, Abner, Miranda, Felix
Midfielders: Edgar, Guido Rodriguez, Canales, Luiz Henrique, William Carvalho, Joaquin, Guardado, Rodri, Dani Perez
Forwards: Juanmi, Borja Iglesias, Willian Jose, Ayoze, Aitor Ruibal
