Scott McTominay starts as Manchester United travel to face Newcastle United in the Premier League at St. James’ Park.
With Casemiro suspended, Erik ten Hag has brought Scott McTominay into the fold alongside Marcel Sabitzer to make up Manchester United’s midfield.
Speaking ahead of the fixture, Ten Hag said: “From my analysis, we are going in the right direction. I think we are building a base this season but we have to progress. You can do that by developing the team.

“We are setting higher demands and standards for our players every time and for the rest in the summer we will see. Just now, that’s not our focus point. Just now, it’s about a better way of playing so we have a better chance of winning games.”
“To construct a culture you have to win every game and I think that is the approach we have in every game, so we will prepare every game 100 per cent, we don’t want to miss things in any game.”
The line-ups for the fixture have been confirmed.
