Casemiro’s Manchester United future hint revealed as Erik ten Hag explains decision
Following reports that the Brazilian midfielder has been subject to interest from Turkey, a hint about Casemiro’s future at Manchester United has been explained.
Casemiro‘s Manchester United future has been the subject of intense debate throughout 2024 following a string of poor performances under Erik ten Hag.
Towards the end of the last campaign, the Brazilian midfielder was used as an auxiliary centre-back during an injury crisis at Old Trafford and made several errors that led to embarrassing losses.

However, since returning to his midfield position, the player’s performance has not improved, and he made two significant errors that led to goals for Liveprool during the home side’s 3-0 drudging at Old Trafford.
In the last few days, there have been reports that Galatasaray are entertaining a loan bid for the 32-year-old in the final days of the Turkish transfer window, but a hint about his future has been explained.
According to the Daily Mail, Casemiro has no interest in leaving United this month and is set to reject any offers from Turkey as he is determined to continue at the club.
Against Liverpool, Casemiro was substituted at half time following his two errors that directly led to goals from Luis Diaz, and Ten Hag explained after the game that the team needed a change.
“It is what the team needed,” he told Sky Sports after the game. “You know when you are 2-0 down against Liverpool you have to take more risks, it will be open. When you are losing you have to take more risks. I have to give compliments to the team. You have to keep fighting and sticking together.”
When asked how Casemiro took being taken off, Ten Hag then explained: “You know the game and he knows the game. He will go on and we will go on. He’s a great player. We will continue this season to improve the team and the players.”
The Dutchman was then asked if Casemiro was still able to play at the highest level following criticism of his performances throughout the year.
“He improved and has shown so often that he is a great character. We all have seen great moments from him and him be decisive in midfield. He will show that again and will bounce back,” he said.
