Bruno Fernandes sends Jadon Sancho message as Man Utd receive cash injection
Bruno Fernandes has sent Manchester United teammate Jadon Sancho a message after he reached the Champions League final on loan with Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho, 24, rejoined Borussia Dortmund on a six-month loan in the January transfer window after being exiled by Erik ten Hag at United for four months.
It was an extremely difficult time for the winger, who did not make an appearance on the football pitch for 140 days while he was away from the United first team.
However, since moving back to the Bundesliga, Sancho has enjoyed a successful half-season that has led to a Champions League final at Wembley against Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.
After a Man of the Match performance in the first leg of the semi-final against PSG, the United loanee provided another solid performance at the Parc des Princes to get over the line in the second leg.
Bruno’s message to Sancho
United captain Bruno Fernandes has sent a message to the loanee on Sancho’s most recent Instagram post following the semi-final victory.
“Champions League Final! Wow wow wow, Unbelievable! WEMBLEY HERE WE COME!” wrote Sancho. In the comments, Fernandes replied with three clapping emojis for his teammate.
Man United’s cash injection
Sancho and Dortmund’s qualification for the Champions League final also means that United will receive another cash injection from the Bundesliga club.
According to MailOnline, Dortmund paid the Old Trafford club an initial fee of £3 million to take the 24-year-old on loan, and a further £3.4 million would be paid based on the German club’s progress in the Champions League.
The report added that it is believed most of those add-ons have been fulfilled after their semi-final victory on Tuesday evening.
With financial concerns at United, any additional funds will be useful ahead of the summer transfer window.
