Manchester United have reached a full agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of Mason Mount this summer.

Manchester United have made midfield a priority this summer and made Mason Mount their top target this window as Erik ten Hag looks to improve his squad.

The Mount saga has seen Erik ten Hag’s club have three bids rejected by Chelsea with Mount having just one year left on his contract.

It has now been said by David Ornstein that after talks on Thursday, the two clubs have finally settled on a fee for the player.

The final agreement is one that has come to £60 million, made up of a £55m guaranteed fee plus a further £5m in “difficult” add-ons.

It is further stated that Mount has been “given permission to undergo a medical and finalise personal terms” as the two clubs put the final touches to the paperwork of the transfer – his medical is expected to happen after the weekend.

This comes just days after United were said to have stopped their interest – a move which has seemingly made Chelsea drop their initial £65m demands to £60m.

Further to this, Jason Burt of the Telegraph claims that the £5m in add-ons are “dependent on appearances and success”. Meanwhile, Matt Law added that the midfielder will earn wages of £250,000-per-week at United with the ability to take it up to £300,000-per-week with bonuses.

Mount will sign a 5-year contract with United with an option for an extra year.
