Borussia Dortmund boss makes huge Jadon Sancho prediction after Champions League final defeat
Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzić has made a huge Jadon Sancho prediction after their Champions League final defeat against Real Madrid.
Sancho, 24, started the Wembley final and despite the Bundesliga side dominating the majority of the game, Madrid ended up on top.
The United loanee has impressed while on loan at Dortmund, and the German side will be looking for a way to keep him at the club next season.
Despite Sancho’s modest direct goal contributions since his move, Terzic has praised his impact since returning.
“I think the last six months, Jadon has been brilliant for us,” Terzic told reporters after the final.
“It took some time to get back into shape but you can feel this quality and his skills, he’s going to improve our game straight away. He didn’t improve just his game but all the players around him.
“He is a player who has never thought about his first touch; it is so natural, and he is very gifted.”
Sancho’s future is uncertain after he fell out with United boss Erik ten Hag at the start of last season.
Whatever happens with the 24-year-old’s future, Terzic believes that he will find himself in another Champions League final eventually.
“I didn’t speak about the future because we have been talking about the present and the present has been playing in the Champions League final in his hometown, a very special moment for him,” he added.
“I’m really happy he is with us and I think you can feel the joy he receives in the dressing room and the jot he brings to the dressing room and I’m very happy to work with Jadon.
“We don’t know yet what the future will bring but for sure it is going to bring him another Champions League final.”
