Antony to implement “radical changes” to his lifestyle for better Manchester United performances
Manchester United winger Antony has failed to find any form since arriving at Old Trafford in 2022, but the Brazilian hopes recent lifestyle changes will bring him success.
United paid £86 million to Erik ten Hag’s former club Ajax for Antony’s signature and it’s a transfer that is yet to bear any fruit. Failing to score or assist in any of his 17 Premier League appearances so far this season, the winger has been one of the main targets for complaints about a blunt forward line.
UtdDistrict were exclusively told that the club are “definitely open” to selling Antony for the right price, and this followed reports that the No. 21 has received interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia along with Jadon Sancho, who is spending the rest of the season on loan at Borussia Dortmund.

However, the 23-year-old is determined to fight for his place at Manchester United and has implemented healthier habits in his lifestyle to help him regain his footballing form.
This is according to Junior Pedroso, the player’s agent, who said when talking to United In Focus: “What Antony did was a radical change in everything involving his professional behaviour. He has a very serious recovery routine at home.
“He equipped his house so he could have faster, more significant muscle recovery. Considering that he had his first contact with the Premier League last season, it is a league that really demands a lot from the physical side.
“He improved his diet, based on a process prescribed by a nutritionist. So he’s eating much better, he’s sleeping better, he’s sleeping earlier.
“His family environment has improved a lot at home with his wife and son, so he has a much better family relationship today, with his wife and son. He has made it a routine at home, whenever possible, having lunch at home, having breakfast, having family routines that sometimes you only realise after the things that make you realise it.”
This change comes after a turbulent time in Antony’s personal life, as he was accused of assault by an ex-girlfriend, a claim which he strongly denies.
Ten Hag has credited the Brazilian’s poor form to these off-field issues, and the Dutchman has always backed his man, which is very meaningful to Pedroso.
“We had Erik speaking in his favour, that Antony comes from a major trauma; he suffered a lot with everything that happened, but it was important for his maturity, and that helped him in this evolutionary process.”
United’s next fixture is against Newport County in the fourth round of the FA Cup and Antony it’s probably eager to show the benefits of his new way of living, perhaps he’ll do it with a goal.
