Former Manchester United winger Antony is to be the subject of an upcoming documentary, as the full details of his move to Real Betis will be revealed.
When Erik ten Hag signed Antony for Manchester United, fans were excited as it seemed like the Red Devils had finally solved their right-winger problem after it became clear Jadon Sancho preferred to play on the left side.
The Brazilian started well, even scoring on his debut against Arsenal, but he quickly began to struggle, and a good performance became rare.
Rúben Amorim sent Antony on loan for the second half of last season to Real Betis, and the former Ajax man shone, looking like the player that United signed back in 2022.
On Deadline Day, Antony finally got his move back to Betis, and he has now left Old Trafford with more yellow cards than goals and assists.
Antony documentary coming soon
Upon Antony’s return to Betis, fans stormed the streets and crowded the Brazilian, treating him like United fans treated Cristiano Ronaldo when he returned to Old Trafford.
Now, it has been revealed by Marca that Antony’s return to Betis will be featured in a documentary with never-before-seen images and interviews. It was not specified when or where this will be released.
Camera crews began recording at the end of last season to capture Antony’s life in Seville, and have followed the right-winger throughout the summer, conducting interviews and more to tell the story of his “dream reunion”.
The documentary will feature interviews with Manuel Pelligrini and more Betis staff members, as they detail Antony’s love for Betis, while he was “confined to a Manchester hotel.”
Antony should have followed Højlund’s exit strategy
When Rasmus Højlund was pushed out of United’s side for Benjamin Šeško, he chose to accept that his future would be away from Old Trafford and found a move for himself as quickly as he could.
However, unlike the Dane, Antony chose to dig his heels in and wait for Betis to make an offer that was lower than other proposals United could have received.

Now, the Brazilian will be subject to a documentary about leaving a club that gave him star status across Europe and paid him a rumoured £150k per week.
Antony broke down in tears in his signing interview for Betis, and many would feel he would want to put this chapter of his life behind him, but no. It will be immortalised in a documentary. Interesting.
