Amad new injury return date rumours as Man Utd star spotted without crutches for first time

Ruben Amorim has suggested that Amad could return from injury for Manchester United before the end of the season.
Manchester United have had an extremely difficult season so far this term and only a handful of players have excelled since Ruben Amorim took charge.
One of the players who looked extremely bright under the new United boss was Amad, who had been shining in the no.10 role and at wingback before suffering an injury last month.
The 22-year-old was supposedly ruled out for the rest of the season after injuring his ankle in training last month, which has been a major blow to the Reds.
However, Amorim suggested last week that Amad may be able to return to the pitch sooner than expected.
“Even Amad, we’ll see in the end of the last month,” he stated after United’s first-leg against Real Sociedad in the Europa League knockouts.
“I don’t want to say anything to you but I have the hope to have Amad before, we’ll see.”
Amad spotted without crutches at Old Trafford
Amad has been at Old Trafford for several recent fixtures to watch his teammates but there was a difference when he walked into the ground on Thursday night.
Ahead of the 4-1 victory against Real Sociedad, the Ivorian was spotted walking into the Theatre of Dreams without crutches or a protective boot, which had both been a feature beforehand.
This also follows reports from X account CCTransfers, who states that Amad is set to start some “light training” in the next few weeks.
It was claimed that if the wide player responds well to that, he will “definitely” be back involved before the end of the season.
United’s final Premier League fixture of the season is scheduled for the 25 May. Should they reach the Europa League final, that is played on 21 May.
Where will Amad play when he returns?
Amad has shown impressive performances in the no.10 and wingback positions under Amorim this season.
While it feels like United need an improved threat in the front three, seeing the wingbacks in Amorim’s system work how they are supposed to would be wonderful to see.
Seeing Amad and Patrick Dorgu operating on those flanks in the same game would certainly help United and give a sneak peak into how Amorim really wants his team to play.
In turn, it would likely help those in the frontline with their work. Also, for Amad, you want him in the position where he can get the ball the most in this system, and at the moment that seems to be at wingback.
