“Already talking…” – Chelsea’s final plan for Jadon Sancho revealed, Man Utd receive transfer nightmare verdict

Chelsea have seemingly made their decision on the future of Jadon Sancho following rumours of a return to Manchester United.
Jadon Sancho left Manchester United to join Chelsea on loan for the 2024/25 season in the final days of the 2024 summer transfer window.
The agreement included an obligation for Chelsea to sign the winger permanently for £25 million in the summer.
Sancho had previously fallen out of favour under Erik ten Hag, leading to a loan spell at Borussia Dortmund. Despite being reintegrated into the United squad in July 2024, uncertainty remained over his long-term future at Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old made a bright start at Stamford Bridge, recording three assists in his first three games. However, his form has since deteriorated, managing just four goal contributions in his next 27 appearances.
As a result, speculation has emerged that Chelsea could explore the option of paying a fine to exit their agreement with United rather than proceed with the £25 million transfer.
Chelsea’s final plan for Sancho revealed
A new report from Chelsea-focused journalist Simon Phillips has suggested that the Blues have made their decision on Sancho.
Instead of sending the winger back to Old Trafford, it is claimed that Chelsea are planning to sign him permanently before selling him for profit in the same summer window.
The report states that the Stamford Bridge outfit believe they can make immediate profit on Sancho and that they are “already talking” with interested buyers.
There are clubs in the Bundesliga and La Liga who are thinking about signing Sancho from Chelsea in the summer and the Blues would be looking for a price over £25 million, which is how much they are set to buy him from United for.
United avoid Sancho transfer nightmare
This would mean that United are going to avoid a nightmare transfer scenario where they have to put their time and effort into finding a new club for Sancho to move to.
Jason Wilcox and the team at Old Trafford have enough things to worry about in the summer window, with four priority positions to strengthen having already been outlined.
Not only do they need the cash from the Sancho deal to bolster their financial position, but the Reds also have a lot of things to focus on and do not need any further distractions.

Perhaps this saga also proves the club correct in their decision to let the 24-year-old depart. He can certainly be a great player but the question marks about his impact on Premier League football remain.
