Alejandro Garnacho told to ‘act humble’ by Barcelona star after Instagram story
Barcelona star Ronald Araújo has explained how Alejandro Garnacho’s Instagram post bothered him after Manchester United knocked the Spanish side out of the Europa League last month.
United have since progressed into the quarter-finals of the competition after their win against Real Betis in the round-of-16.
They will now face yet another Spanish side in Sevilla as they look to win another trophy this term.

However, their biggest win in the Europa League so far came in the round-of-32 against Barcelona. United came from behind to win in emphatic style at Old Trafford in the second leg.
Fred and Antony scored second-half goals to ensure a 2-1 win – which gave The Reds a 4-3 advantage on aggregate after a resilient performance at Camp Nou the prior week.
Following the game, United talent Alejandro Garnacho posted an image of him emulating Pedri’s celebration, with the caption reading “Passed by the big team”.
This rattled many fans of the La Liga leaders and even bothered Barca centre-back Ronald Araújo, who suggests it was not respectful of the Madrid-born star.
“Yes, everyone is as they are, but at that time it was not possible to put something like that,” responded Araújo when asked by Infobae if the post annoyed him.
“I respect everyone and I feel that humility is ahead of everything. Everyone expresses themselves as they want, but I prefer to have a lower profile and then show what I do on the pitch.
“This is football, he is very young and there is still a long way to go. You have to go calmly and humbly.”
