Agent of 23yo ‘unique’ Chelsea talent responds to Manchester United transfer rumours
The agent of one ‘unique’ Chelsea attacking talent has responded to the rumours surrounding his client which include a potential Manchester United move.
Mykhailo Mudryk joined Chelsea in January 2023 from Shakhtar Donetsk in what was considered a shocking big-money move.
The Ukrainian winger has failed to live up to his £62 million price tag in the Premier League despite his clear qualities.
He has lost his place in Chelsea’s starting XI under Enzo Maresca, with the majority of his starts now coming in cup competitions.
This form has led to rumours circulating about the 23-year-old’s future and whether a potential January exit could be on the cards.
Ex-Blues midfielder Emmanuel Petit has even suggested that Mudryk could be a good option for Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.
“He’s 23 and he’s wasting too much time already and with the new sports direction at Chelsea, I don’t think he has a future there,” Petit told The Mirror.
“However. I think Man United could be an excellent opportunity for him as he suits in Ruben Amorim’s formation.”
Despite this noise, the winger’s agent has come out and claimed that Mudryk is only thinking about pushing into the team at Stamford Bridge and is not looking for an exit.
“I am glad that Mykhailo has become our client,’ Shabliy, the CEO of Prostar Football Agency told The Standard.
“He is a unique player with great talent and ambition. It’s vital for him to enjoy the game; it’s vital to feel that he is trusted. I am absolutely convinced he will show all his best football qualities.
“Of course, players like Misha will always attract the attention of other clubs and their scouts. He is one of those football players who, thanks to his playing qualities, can influence the outcome of a match.
“He feels the game, knows how to take responsibility, and makes quick decisions. But at the moment he has a contract with Chelsea, and all his thoughts are about how to secure his place in the starting XI.”
With all of the money wasted in recent years, United need to be careful with their signings in upcoming windows, which means a deal for Mudryk does not make a lot of sense at all.
While Amorim could look to upgrade in those two positions behind the striker, there are many other talented players to keep an eye out for.
