Agent denies Man United January contact but hints at “possible” summer transfer
The agent of Radu Drăgușin has denied reports that there has been concrete contact with Manchester United over a January transfer.
On Thursday, it was reported that Manchester United had been in contact for 21-year-old Genoa central defender Radu Drăgușin, with the transfer likely acting as a replacement for the potentially departing Raphaël Varane.
Further to this, it was stated that Erik ten Hag‘s club were ready to put in significant financial efforts in order to secure Drăgușin in January.

However, his agent, Florin Manea, has now come out to explain that this information is not true but that his player is on “several lists” due to his positive performances in Italy.
“Manchester United is always Manchester United. It’s a top team, as a tradition, as everything,” told Romania’s iAM Sport. “He is on several lists. I am not surprised that he would also be on Manchester United’s, I haven’t spoken to anyone from there yet, but there are several teams interested.”
Manea did explain that he is in London and that a move away from Genoa for Drăgușin in the summer is certainly possible due to the financial problems of the Serie A club.
“For now, there is nothing concrete, let’s have a written offer or something, but I am in London, and I will have meetings all week,” he said. “He will probably move in the summer at the latest, I understand that Genoa also has some problems. They have to give some money to the state.”
Drăgușin is said to have a release clause of about £25 million, which the agent himself has previously confirmed, and United are likely one of many clubs who are monitoring the player’s situation as it unfolds.
