AC Milan informed they have two Marcus Rashford options to secure Manchester United loan deal
AC Milan have been informed that they have two potential pathways that would secure a loan move for Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford this month.
Marcus Rashford is expected to leave Manchester United in 2025 after a candid interview revealed the 27-year-old’s intention to embark on a new challenge.
Once the shining star of United’s attack, Rashford hit his peak with a 30-goal season under Erik ten Hag in 2022/23 but has since struggled to replicate that form.
Under Rúben Amorim, he has slipped down the pecking order, with Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes becoming regulars in the attacking positions, and Rashford has not featured in the last six games.
Having been with Manchester United for nearly 20 years, Rashford burst onto the scene as an 18-year-old with a sensational debut, scoring twice against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League and another two goals days later against Arsenal in the Premier League.
With the club reportedly open to sending the player on loan in January with a sale in the summer, Rashford’s departure now seems inevitable, bringing an end to his illustrious time at Old Trafford as he prepares for the next phase of his career.
Milan informed of two options for Rashford loan deal
One of the clubs who seem most intent on securing Rashford is AC Milan, with former Unite player and Milan advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic a key figure in the potential transfer.
However, the Serie A side only seem interested in taking the winger on loan in January, with a purchase this month unlikely due to the finances involved.
According to Gazzetta Sport, Milan are said to now have two options regarding their pursuit of Rashford, both of which would result in a loan move for the player.
Milan are said to have proposed a loan move with an option to buy for the forward, but that they will not consider signing him outright in January.
However, there is an issue regarding the financial aspects of the deal. Milan would need to cover some of his wage package for the loan, and beyond this, should they want to trigger the buy option in the summer, they would also need to negotiate a new contract with him.
Milan are said to be unsure if Rashford would be willing to take a pay reduction to facilitate the transfer.

The second option they have is to negotiate a dry loan without any attachments at the end of the deal. This would speed up negotiations between all parties, but they would sacrifice the first-dibs opportunity for Rashford this summer.
The 27-year-old has been linked with many clubs around Europe, with those such as Juventus and Tottenham also keen on Rashford.
Potential suitors in the summer will be aplenty, and Milan have a unique opportunity to gain an advantage on them all, but there are many financial hurdles they must overcome.
