Two upcoming Premier League stars have been told that they could “become heroes” by signing for Manchester United.
The upcoming summer transfer window will be vital for Manchester United as they aim to back Ruben Amorim with new signings.
Since taking over as head coach, Amorim has faced significant challenges and will be eager for the season to conclude.
Once the campaign ends, the Portuguese manager will have the opportunity to lead a full pre-season with his squad and strengthen the team with new arrivals.
While reinforcements are key, player departures will also be crucial, as several members of the squad are struggling to justify their place at the club for next season.
Premier League duo told they can become United heroes
United need to make smart signings when the summer window comes around and they are already being linked with several players. Two of those players are Liam Delap and Tyler Dibling, who both look set to be relegated from the Premier League with Ipswich Town and Southampton respectively.
That could lead to United getting them for slightly cheaper, with a deal for both players rumoured to around a total cost of £70 million. Ex-United defender Paul Parker was in no doubt when asked whether the young English pair could help United going forward.
“100% Man United should look at Tyler Dibling and Liam Delap,” claimed Parker during an interview with mybettingsites.co.uk this week.
“For Delap, you have to look at what Man United need, and they need a striker who is hungry and wants to prove a point. Delap has to choose a club where he is guaranteed game time and I am sure he is looking at Man United to give him that.
“Dibling would be looking at the Man United midfield and think to himself: I am better than all of them. He can run with the ball, he can pass the ball and he can score goals. He runs beyond as well.”
Despite there being question marks over United at the moment, Parker also believes that both Delap and Dibling could “become heroes” by joining the club and helping turn the fortunes around.
“Man United should be looking at both of them, but it is also about whether they are ambitious enough to go to Man United or if they want a move to clubs who are functioning a bit better, but maybe doesn’t have the same status,” he continued.
“But if they want to make a name for themselves, make it at Manchester United, because it will be known everywhere. They have the chance to change something and become heroes, and that should mean something.”
Dibling and Delap have Wilcox link
Jason Wilcox is set to lead United’s transfer business in the summer window and the technical director has links with both Dibling and Delap.
The United chief was the man who urged former Southampton boss Russell Martin to introduce Dibling in the first-team at St Mary’s Stadium when he was the director of football there.
“Jason Wilcox was pushing for us to play him more last season, but he wasn’t quite ready,” Martin admitted. “It’s been beautiful to watch Tyler’s journey so far and he needs to keep going.”

Meanwhile, Wilcox also dealt with Delap when he was the Head of Academy at Manchester City and the 22-year-old was coming through the setup.
Some reports have suggested that United could be well-placed to beat their rivals to the young striker’s signature due to Wilcox’s existing relationship with him.
