“You want to tell me…” – André Onana sends Roy Keane defiant message after Man United criticism

André Onana has sent Roy Keane a defiant message after the Manchester United goalkeeper was labelled the most disappointing signing this season.
André Onana has had a poor start to life at Manchester United, conceding over 30 goals in his first few months at the club and making some horror mistakes in the Champions League.
Onana was brought in by Erik ten Hag to replace David de Gea in goal at Old Trafford, with the player key in the idea of playing football from the defensive line with the idea of controlling games.

It is a move that Roy Keane has labelled the “biggest disappointment” of the summer, with the ex-United midfielder feeling Onana was not the right player to bring in.
“The biggest disappointment has to be André Onana,” he said. “I think Manchester United were right to get rid of David de Gea, but for the club to have brought someone else in and for him to be struggling.”
Onana has now had his chance to speak back, explaining that although he is not happy with the way his season has started, his career so far shows that he is one of the best in the world at what he does.
“If I have to speak about my season so far for Manchester United, I am not happy because I know I can do much, much better, I’ve done it, and I know I will do it better than what is happening now,” a defiant Onana explained to Sky Sports.
“We are not facing a good moment. I hope things will change as soon as possible.
“But listen, you want to tell me in six months, the best goalkeeper in the Champions League last season can become the worst in the world? Nah.
“Everything is temporary. I know it’ll be alright. If not today, it will be tomorrow, if not tomorrow, the day after tomorrow.”
