Manchester United’s latest signing Wout Weghorst will wear the No.27 jersey, as revealed by leaked images.
The new Dutch striker has joined Manchester United on a six-month loan deal from Championship club Burnley after his season long loan at Turkish club Besiktas was terminated early after Erik ten Hag came calling.
The number was first worn by Gary Neville between 1992-95, however is probably most famously synonimous with ex-Red midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

The latest holder of the shirt prior to Wout Weghorst was Alex Telles, who is currently on loan at Spanish club Sevilla.
“I feel privileged to be joining Manchester United,” Weghorst said after his Manchester United move was confirmed.
“I’ve played against the club in the past and it’s a fantastic feeling to now have the chance to pull on the famous red shirt. I’ve seen United’s progress under Erik ten Hag this season and can’t wait to start playing my part in pushing the team towards its aims.
“Whatever happens in the next few months, I can promise to give everything to the club for as long as I am here.

“I thank everyone who has played a part in getting me to this stage, and now I am looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and getting involved straight away.”
