Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui has spoken about Casemiro ahead of the upcoming fixture against his side and Manchester United in the Premier League.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are due to travel to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon to face Manchester United as the Premier League reaches its climax.

The fixture comes with Erik ten Hag‘s Reds sitting just one point ahead of Liverpool in fifth, with the race for Champions League spaces hitting its peak as the season comes to an end.

One reason for Manchester United’s ability to be where they currently are is due to their Brazilian midfielder, Casemiro.

Casemiro has been nothing short of fantastic in the No. 6 role under Erik ten Hag this season and has driven United’s attack from the back.

Speaking on the midfielder, Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui has explained that it is Casemiro’s mind that sets him apart from other midfielders.

“I think he’s become one of the best midfielders in the world and it’s about his merit,” he explained.

“I always say the same. We the coaches are not key for any player. They are key for themselves, depending on their character, their ambition and their humility.

“Of course, Casemiro has a lot of things, a lot of strengths and a very important mind. For me it’s key. The difference between a lot of players is not the quality with the ball, it is the quality in the mind.”

The fixture, due to kick off at Old Trafford at 15:00 BST, represents a perfect chance for United to regain some form after back-to-back losses away from home.

They have only won two of their last five Premier League fixtures, dropping a total of eight points in that period.
