When Sofyan Amrabat and Rasmus Hojlund will play during the international break
Manchester United fans got their first taste of Rasmus Hojlund after he made his debut from the bench against Arsenal on Sunday.
Whilst the end result was disappointing for The Reds, positives were certainly taken from the debut of the 20-year-old forward. UtdDistrict provided a detailed analysis of Hojlund’s performance in the game.
United are also awaiting the debut of deadline-day signing Sofyan Amrabat, who has initially joined on a loan move but the club has the option to buy the midfielder next summer.
There is much excitement about both of these players amongst the Old Trafford faithful, however, they will not be in action for the club until after the international break.
Both Hojlund and Amrabat will be representing Denmark and Morocco respectively over the next week.
Yet, these games could provide important match sharpness for the pair ahead of the upcoming fixtures with United. It will also be an opportunity for many fans to watch the new players for the national teams.
Amrabat will be in contention to play two fixtures in the coming days with his national side that reached the World Cup semi-finals last year.
The opening game against Liberia will be a qualification match in the African Cup of Nations and will take place on the 9 September at 20:00 (BST), whilst the following clash against Burkina Faso, in a friendly game, will be on 12 September at 20:30 (BST).
Meanwhile, Hojlund has the chance to impress again for his country during this break. He has scored six goals in four European Championship qualifiers. There are two more games in the qualification stages this time around.
Firstly comes San Marino, and the striker will be hoping to add to his tally, on 7 September at 19:45 (BST). Shortly after Denmark will face up against Finland on the 10 September at 17:00 BST, the team that Hojlund scored a hat-trick against in the reverse fixture.
The games will be crucial in Denmark’s qualification hopes, with Finland currently topping the group with nine points. Denmark are in third place with seven points.
Other players within the United camp have also joined up with their national teams. Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, and Diogo Dalot – among others – will be playing international fixtures over the coming days.
