Manchester United are awaiting the confirmation of their Premier League fixtures for the 2025/26 campaign and will soon know how their season will start.
After total failure last term, Manchester United are desperate to be turning things around in the Premier League in the next season and they are trying to improve the squad this summer.
Ruben Amorim has already got Matheus Cunha through the door and the club are also targeting Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo.
With some more changes expected, fans will hope for major improvements from the team when they get back to competitive action.
Their performances and results at the beginning of next season will certainly set the tone and it would be easier if the early Premier League fixtures are kind to them.
When Premier League will announce United’s opening fixture for 2025/26
The opening day of the new Premier League campaign comes on Saturday, 16 August 2025 which is one week after United’s final pre-season fixture against Fiorentina.
All of the club’s matches for the campaign will be revealed by the Premier League at 09:00 BST on Wednesday 18 June.
Of course, there will be focus on when games against Liverpool and Manchester City are, but the Reds will also be interested to see who they face on that opening weekend.
That clash will be the official debut for Cunha, who is also expected to play throughout pre-season, and he will be desperate to have a strong start to life at Old Trafford.
Ideally, you would be hoping for a home game to open the season. United have hosted Wolves and Fulham in the opening games of the last two seasons and won both games 1-0. Joshua Zirkzee scored a last-minute winner to secure the three points against The Cottagers.
Cunha set for unofficial debut soon
In terms of unofficial debuts, United fans will not have to wait too long to see Cunha in action, with the Reds returning for pre-season training in around two weeks.
Then, they head for a short trip to Sweden before their tour of the United States to play Leeds, who have just been promoted back to the Premier League.
Cunha will play in that game and make his unofficial debut for the club. The clash comes on Saturday 19 July and will kick-off at 14:00 BST.

Supporters will be hoping that Cunha is not the only new signing to play in that game though, with Mbeumo the desired target for fans and the club.
