Manchester United’s new 18-year-old wonder-kid has Enzo Kana-Biyik has moved to Lausanne-Sport on loan and could make his unofficial debut very soon.
As Manchester United continue to recruit some of Europe’s most promising teenage talents, one of their newest youngsters has just been loaned out for the 2025/26 season.
18-year-old starlet Enzo Kana-Biyik moved to United from Ligue 1 side Le Havre AC recently, having been called up twice last season to the first team.
This came as a result of the young striker not agreeing on terms for a new contract, and therefore moving to Ruben Amorim’s side on a free transfer.
The 2007-born forward scored nine goals in 17 games for the Le Havre U19’s, which caused many clubs to start taking an interest as the teenager neared the end of his contract.
Kana-Biyik’s new side
Having transferred to United, Kana-Biyik has gone straight out on loan ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, moving to Swiss side FC Lausanne-Sport.
This sees United utilise the multi-club model that many of Europe’s elite sides operate with, as Lausanne are also owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS group.
It is likely that the French forward will also be joined by one or two other United youngsters in Switzerland, with it being rumoured that Sekou Kone could be on his way this summer.
Lausanne finished fifth in the Swiss Super League last season, and are already underway in their pre-season ahead of the new campaign, which could see Kana-Biyik feature as early as this week.
When could Kana-Biyik start playing?
On 11 July, Lausanne take on fellow Swiss outfit Stade Nyonnais in a pre-season friendly at 14:00 BST. Nyonnais are in the second division of Switzerland, and finished ninth out of ten teams last campaign.
Interestingly, the Swiss side are also playing another friendly game at 10:00 BST on the same day, with Étoile Carouge the opposition in that game.
With two friendlies on the same day, it is likely that many youth players are involved across the fixtures for Lausanne and that gives Kana-Biyik a better chance of potentially getting on the pitch.
While his announcement only came on Thursday, it is entirely possible that the United loanee has been training with the Swiss side for a number of days.
Unfortunately, neither of these games will be televised. That being said, Lausanne could provide a match report/highlights afterwards for anyone interested in seeing if Kana-Biyik gets underway at his new side.
In terms of his official debut, Kana-Biyik could play in their Europa Conference League qualifier against the winner of La Fiorita and FK Vardar Skopje on 24 July and highlights of that game will be showcased on TNT Sports.
