What Leny Yoro did after Man United injury vs Arsenal, it could be a positive sign

Manchester United’s new centre-back Leny Yoro was forced off against Arsenal in the first-half after an injury concern.

The Reds started the game well and scored the opener through Rasmus Højlund, who latched onto Marcus Rashford’s through ball and finished well.

Unfortunately, the Danish forward had to come off due to injury shortly afterwards. He was holding his groin and went straight down the tunnel.

Erik ten Hag also had to replace Leny Yoro before the half-time whistle due to another worrying injury concern.

The centre-back received treatment during a drinks break mid-way through the half and then came off for Rhys Bennett when they returned to the pitch.

Yoro signed for the club last week and played in the friendly against Rangers only two days after putting pen to paper on a five year deal.

He was excellent during that encounter and apart from an early mistake against Arsenal, he was producing another solid display.

It wasn’t clear what Yoro’s problem was but a positive sign was noticed in comparison to Højlund.

As mentioned, the striker came off the pitch and went straight down the tunnel at the SoFi Stadium.

Instead, it was posted by Academy Scoop that the Frenchman did a full lap of the pitch rather than going straight down the tunnel, suggesting that it could have been a precautionary change.

That will certainly be what many United fans hope.

Erik ten Hag is expected to be asked about both Yoro and Højlund after the game, with more detailed updates likely to be on Sunday afternoon.
