What Casemiro told agent after Manchester United’s 4-0 loss to Brentford
Manchester United seemed to be in a dire situation just two games into Erik ten Hag’s reign after losses against Brighton and Brentford, whilst they were trying to get Casemiro’s signing over the line.
The Real Madrid midfielder was open to joining the Reds as far back as late June. Still, the player patiently waited while United continued to pursue Barcalona’s Frenkie de Jong, according to James Ducker.
However, there were worries amongst the English club that, after the 4-0 humiliation against Brentford, Casemiro would be having second thoughts.
The Brazilian was actually watching the game from his home in Spain and sent a clear and simple message to his agent: “Tell them I’ll fix this.”
It was clear that Madrid did not want to let their world-class midfielder leave their club, but his mind was ‘fixated’ on helping rebuild United under Ten Hag, as one source from the aforementioned report mentioned.
Casemiro has been one of the best performers for The Reds since he came into the team following the 6-3 defeat to Manchester City in August.
He, again, waited with patience as Scott McTominay remained in the team that were on a winning run, but it wasn’t soon after his introduction to the starting side that he began making an everlasting impression on United supporters.
Those at Old Trafford are in love with the midfielder who shows defensive stability, class on the ball and passion that is notoriously infectious around the Theatre of Dreams.

The feeling is quite the same from the Brazilian’s side too, with some of his closest confidants saying that he has “never been this comfortable or happy in his career”. The Old Trafford noise whenever Casemiro makes a crunching tackle or 60-yard pass is said to have left a big impression on the player.
The midfielder is exactly what United have been missing for a long number of years and Ten Hag believes that he is ‘raising the limits’ at the club.
“He is a magnificent player,” said Ten Hag late last month. “My analysis was before the start of the season, we needed a [number] six, and he is fulfilling that six position.
“You need the right player, and definitely, we have the right player. I am really happy for United and for this team to have him. Because he is raising the limits from Manchester United.”
