Nottingham Forest winger Antony Elanga sent a message to Leny Yoro after Manchester United’s win against Arsenal in the FA Cup.

Anthony Elanga departed Manchester United in the summer of 2023 to join Nottingham Forest for a fee of around £15 million.

The Academy graduate came through under Ralf Rangnick in 2021/22 and excelled but was overlooked by Erik ten Hag, who decided to replace the winger.

The 22-year-old has excelled since moving to the City Ground and is playing an important part in their superb campaign in the Premier League this season, as they currently sit third in the table.

What Elanga said to Yoro after United win

Elanga remains close with several United players and would have been pleased to see the Reds win on penalties against Arsenal last weekend.

During that penalty shootout, Leny Yoro surprisingly stepped up to take United’s third spot-kick and dispatched it with confidence into the side-netting.

United’s summer signing took to Instagram after the game, writing the simple caption: “This feeling #GodDid”

In the comments to Yoro’s post, Elanga joked about his confidence in the shootout, writing: “Since when do you know how to score penalties 😂❤️”

Yoro has impressed in big games for United

No one was expecting the teenage centre-back, who only came off the bench, to step up and take the third penalty at the Emirates Stadium.

The calmness which Yoro showed with his penalty only continued the trend the Frenchman has had in recent big game fixtures.

He also came off the bench in away fixtures against Liverpool and Manchester City during difficult periods. United were drawing at Anfield and losing at the Etihad when he came on.

We are still yet to see the 19-year-old play consistent football, with Amorim taking care with his game-time since returning from injury.

But it is certainly good to know that he seems to be able to handle the big occasions, whether that be putting in a last-gasp challenge against Manchester City or slotting in a penalty against Arsenal.
