Alejandro Garnacho has reacted positively to his mixed performance during Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Fulham last week.

The Reds opened their Premier League season in the perfect way as Erik ten Hag’s side won at Old Trafford against the Cottagers.

Alejandro Garnacho came off the bench to assist Joshua Zirkzee, who was making his club debut, for the winning goal.

According to MailSport, the young winger had requested to return to Carrington early following Argentina’s Copa America victory.

Garnacho wanted to ‘hit the ground running’ for United, and that’s precisely what he did against Manchester City in the Community Shield. He scored a tremendous goal before the Reds fell to defeat on penalties.

The wide player also grabbed an assist against Fulham but failed to look as confident during his general play in that cameo.

Of course, his last-minute chance came, but he was unable to adjust his feet to find the back of the empty net and was visibly frustrated afterwards.

The aforementioned report has detailed that Garnacho headed to the NAS Elite Sports Performance Centre in Manchester this week.

The facility was described as a favourite for Premier League stars such as Kobbie Mainoo and Aston Villa’s Ian Maatsen.

Clients have access to physiotherapy, osteopathy, strength and conditioning, nutritional support and wellness essentials, including phlebotomy service, IV Drip Therapy, and vitamin shots.

Garnacho posted on his social media channels showing the extra weight training that he has been doing behind the scenes at the facility.

The Argentine is pushing for a starting position in Ten Hag’s team for the next game against Brighton this weekend.
